We're Working Towards A Lead Safe Iowa

Iowa Lead Safety was founded for the primary purpose to help make all Iowa homes and properties lead safe by training contractors, realtors, landlords and homeowners in lead-safe work practices. We connect home and property owners with contractors trained to provide their services using lead-safe work practices, and we raise awareness of lead poisoning dangers through contact with our community members. We also inspect homes and properties for the presence of lead.

We believe Iowans deserve to feel confident that where our children live, play and learn is free from the dangers lead poisoning poses. Lead poisoning is one of the most common and preventable pediatric health problems today. Iowa Lead Safety provides the training, information and services to eliminate the risk of lead poisoning in your home and properties.
